Your first steps with Decathlon Coach
Just downloaded Decathlon Coach to monitor your workouts or exercise at home with our programmes and training session? Here is everything you need to know to use the app and understand the key features of your mobile coach!
During an outdoor workout, open the app for real-time monitoring of your speed, distance covered and calories burnt, along with a GPS track of your route. With a Bluetooth-connected smart HR belt, you can also view your heart rate and effort zone to run at the right pace: your pace!
Whether you decide to log on with your smartphone or at decathloncoach.com, just enter your log-in and password to access your personal sport area.
THE MAIN MENU, OR HOMEPAGE
When you open the app, this page will appear with a short greeting to welcome you (that's just how we are), with your current programmes and recommendations according to your profile and the activities you have completed. When navigating through the app, you can return to the main menu by clicking on 'Home'.
STARTING A FREE SESSION
Scroll down the main menu a little to find a button for starting a free session. What does that mean? You can simply log your home-work commute on the bike, evening run, yoga session or any other sport, whether indoor or outdoor. You can select the indicators you would like to monitor during your workout and also view a real-time GPS track when outdoors. And how about a land sailing session? (No problem, with Decathlon Coach!)
FOLLOWING A PROGRAMME WITH DECATHLON COACH
Beginning a programme (and getting to the end)
You can choose a programme according to the sport, training frequency and estimated level (whether a total beginner in a sport or already experienced, we will support you whatever happens!). Once you have started your programme, the home screen will display the current programme or programmes. Do not forget to turn notifications on so you don't miss a single workout!
Sessions on demand
'sessions on demand' allow you to choose whichever workout tickles your fancy or best meets your current needs. This is the ideal solution for establishing daily exercise or well-being routines, e.g. with night-time elements, or discovering new sporting horizons :)
THE DASHBOARD, OR HOW TO MONITOR YOUR PROGRESS
Exercising is all well and good, but being able to see your progress is a real plus! The 'follow-up' tab contains all the information from your workouts, so you can compare your activities.
You can view all your sessions by clicking on 'HISTORY'. By clicking on the + icon, you can also add a workout to your activities log manually.
The 'statistics' section allows you to view your sport activities. Here you will find the cumulative total of your workouts, which can be filtered by sport and type of stat (duration, number of workouts, calories, distance, etc.), and thus admire the fruits of your sweat and labours!
MONITORING YOUR WEIGHT
Do you have connected Geonaute scales or do you simply wish to monitor your weight? You can enter your physiological data by clicking on 'All my weights'.
